Does anyone know what the procedure is for deactivation of the underhood speed control on a 1999 Ford Expedition.  The recent recall says the part aren't for the repair, I just assume deactivate it, if someone can help me.

RE: Ford underhood speed control deactivation.

Locate the brake master cylinder.  On the very front is a switch with a connector and two wires facing upwards.  Squeeze the "ears" (locks) on either side of the plug and pull up.  Loop the plug behind the wiring harness near the fender so it doesn't flop around.
