Friction Grip Clamp Design

Friction Grip Clamp Design

(OP)
I am currently looking at the design of a friction grip clamp.  I was wondering if any members could suggest useful design guides?

RE: Friction Grip Clamp Design

What do you want to clamp? What do you want to clamp it to? How big are the forces?

(OP)
I am looking at a using a friction clamp as a repair to a cracked tubular section.  The clamp will be experiencing force of around 120 kN in hoop tension.

RE: Friction Grip Clamp Design

Ok. I have no experience in this type of thing so I'll leave it to others.
