Display problems with NX2

Display problems with NX2

(OP)
Hello All,

I am facing display problems in unigraphics,
1) While working with large models with surfaces, some surfaces suddenly disapear.
2) some solids are invisible in shaded view and visible in wireframe.
3)While rotaing the model, sketches disappear and appear after some time.
Does anybody faced such a problem,Please suggest me a solution.
I am using
 Intel P4 CPU 3GHz
 2 Gb of RAM
Vidio card NVIDIA Quadro Fx-1300 driver version 7.7.1.8
 OS : Windows XP professional 2002 SP2

RE: Display problems with NX2

Some will suggest to play with the settings for "large model/ visualization performance". I had the same problems with a similar nvidia card on NX2. If I zoomed in, then back out the image would be clipped at where the zoomed in extents were. The only fix for me has to been use Update Disply (not refresh). None of the settings in Large Model/Visualization Performance make a difference. I may work for you though.
Btw, I did not have this problem with v18

RE: Display problems with NX2

This problem is normally due to UG setting the clipping planes too close together.  Probably due to doing a fit operation when only a small area of the component is visible (ie blanked or turned off by layers).  When you bring the larger geometry back in it sits further than the clipping planes and so it gets trimmed.  Hitting the fit to extents button or manually setting the clipping planes would fix this until a fit without the full geometry is performed again.
I've not been able to find a setting that allows the greyed out tick boxes to be active so you can turn the clipping off completeley as of yet.

I agree for the clipping plane settings when we work with large models, This problem was always there with unigraphics.
I find some problem at the Grphic card and Nx2 compatability.I do not find the same on
 NVIDIA Quadro FX 1400.
