Magnesium alloy Hardness

Magnesium alloy Hardness

Magnesium alloy Hardness

(OP)
Does someone know the hardness (Vickers, Brinell...) of the magnesium alloy AMS4439 or does someone know a good site or book to find tables of hardness for magnesium alloys.

Thanks

Adam

RE: Magnesium alloy Hardness

MIL-HDBK-5J which brings the data from the AMS onlyspecify tensile and compressive values. Hardness is not guaratied same as with PH steels.

RE: Magnesium alloy Hardness

Aeroad...

MS4439E provides hardness test requirements... and defines what they mean. See AMS4439 Para 8.3...
