Underwater Epoxy Repair

Underwater Epoxy Repair

(OP)
I am currently looking at a repair to a subsea section of platform jacket which has developed a crack.  I am considering using an underwater epoxy repair material to bond a steel cover plate to the substructure.

Do any members have experience of using epoxy subsea? What are the main areas to be concerned with and which suppliers would be good to contact for assistance?

RE: Underwater Epoxy Repair

Here is a product used subsea.

Used on damaged, corroded, or leaking pipelines subsea.  Once the clamp is in place, epoxy can be injected to completely fill the cavity.  Caution about using a repair over an existing crack.  Not really sure what the codes will allow, but due to the inherent unknowns surrounding crack shapes, stresses, and energy release rates, it is best to remove the crack before adding the repair. -Awol
