Ontario Electrical Safety Code - Transformer Spacing

Ontario Electrical Safety Code - Transformer Spacing

Ontario Electrical Safety Code - Transformer Spacing

(OP)
Is there anyone that can direct me to a section in the OEC that states how far apart transformers have to be installed.

Right now I am tring to place two transformers outside a building, both are 13.8/600V, 1500KVA, liquid filled.  I think I have all spacing requirements for the building figured out but can't find the distance required between the transformers.

Thanks

RE: Ontario Electrical Safety Code - Transformer Spacing

(This response is intended to be a suggested guidance and not an absolute reference for solving the problem. The final solution shall comply with all requirements of all applicable codes, according to the concrete situation).

It seems you need to comply with the requirements of the Rule 26-242 together with Rules 26-240, 26-014, 26-010 of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.

Also, see Tables 33 and 34 for clearances. Table 32 may apply too.

But do not forget to check your project against the requirements of the Section 18-Hazardous Locations.
