Need Software that Shows Elevation on Contour Lines
Need Software that Shows Elevation on Contour Lines
(OP)
I am using a Nikon Total Station using Trimble Geomatics Office Software. Currently when I do siteplans I have the elevations marked on the data points and I overlay this with the Contour lines that the TGO software has created. What software allows me to eliminate this layering step? I see other siteplans with the Elevations labeled on the actual contour lines, this is a much cleaner look and what I am trying to achieve.
I can upload files of what my files currently look like and what I am trying to achieve if the above question sounds confusing.
thanks in advance
Mario

Autodesk Land Desktop can help to obtain your DTM and Contour labeled on real elevation.

If you want to make the investment get your self a copy of Microstation and Geopak. Bentley does a wonderful job with Lieca and Trimble. Most of all the DOT's in the country along with city and county all use it.

I've been using ezysurf for about 3 years. The contours appear to be pretty accurate. Of course the contours are only as good as the survey. As far a volume computations, I had a friend run volumes in LDD and compared them with ezysurf. The volumes came within 300 yards of each other on a 200,000 yard project. I have done a few as built surveys and compared volumes with the orginal estimates. The volumes usually agree pretty well.
