Where can a I test/evaluate a new patient transfer device

Where can a I test/evaluate a new patient transfer device

(OP)
I am looking for a hospital research environment to  test a
new patient transfer device (a wheelchair-like device)to make  very ill bed-bound patients more mobile. Many patients with severe back pain find it difficult to leave bed, and this transfer device is a painless method of making them mobile.

Can anyone recommend a university/hospital (perhaps in the southeast US) that does this sort of research/testing/evaluation?

RE: Where can a I test/evaluate a new patient transfer device

Have you considered testing in a geriatric care facility (nursing home) environment?  They lift and move patents frequently.  Perhaps there is a privately held facility (or chain) that would be willing to allow some testing in the hopes of increasing productivity and safety of care givers.  Maybe you could make a few sales, too.

Just a thought - good luck
