Adding drill heads to a ~1940's Moline multispindle drill

Adding drill heads to a ~1940's Moline multispindle drill

(OP)
I've been asked if I can get an old Moline 15 spindle vertical drill to drill additional holes at hole spacing less than the minimum gear interference of the current adjacent drill heads. This is out of my normal area and given the age of the machine I figure this problem has been found before. Does anyone know if there is a standard retro fit to these machines to allow either two drills to run off one driven shaft or a way to get the adjacent drill heads closer via ..? mucking about with shaft offset?; driven helixal gear mod's to reduce gear diam and still keep mesh with the worm gear?

[please excuse me if my gear knowledge is very rusty]
