SW 2006 Side Tabs Missing

SW 2006 Side Tabs Missing

I'm trying to access my Toolbox browser, but the tabs on the right of the viewport don't do anything.  I can click right down the line of them, and I get a pause, but nothing displays on my screen.

I just performed a repair and am still having the same problems.  Any thoughts?

This is with SP 1.0 installed.

RE: SW 2006 Side Tabs Missing

same problem here i thought

the tabs are missing or not if they are there 3 little icons on the right it was a simple problem for me

mine are ther but i was expecting to click on the tab and it to open up the window
drag the thin bar to the left to view the design library pane in the top right hand corner there
is a pin which pins it open un pin it

when you press the design library icon it will open the pane when you click the solidworks work areascreen it will close it

i hope thats your problem because i sat for at least 10 minutes doble clicking single clicking before dragging the
vertical slider bar to the left and my library was hidden

RE: SW 2006 Side Tabs Missing

ps sorry to add its called auto hide or something like that its on or off

Yeah, I  thought it was a slide-out like in 2005.  I guess I'd better pay more attention to stuff like that during the "what's new" gig our VAR puts on each year.

Thanks for the tip--I may have spend much more than 10 minutes in trying to figure it out.  (I'm very persistent.)

RE: SW 2006 Side Tabs Missing

There's another new slide-out that some might find helpful and it's on the task pane (I found it by accident yesterday).    It's on the upper-right hand side, and it has 5 columns:
Hide/Show
Display State
Color
Texture
Change Transparency

In a part file it isn't as helpful, but in an assembly you can see very easily what state the parts are in.  You can easily see what a part's color is at the part level and the assembly level (if there different).  The other options are also self explanitory.  You can control+select mulitiple items and change anyone of the states listed, such as hide all selected items, make them transparent, etc.  Shift+select works exactly like a control+select.
