Exploded Views

(OP)
I am trying to create an exploded view of an assembly and 1 of the componants needs to move off in a direction other than the default X,Y,Z planes. It's been a while but it seems like I have done this before. Has anyone else done this? Maybe you could refresh my memory.

Thanks

Mike

RE: Exploded Views

Can you move it in two steps or does it need to be in a single step?

Single step would sure be nice, but I could live with the old 2 step trick if I needed to

RE: Exploded Views

I thought it was possible to select any planar face, plane, straight edge or axis for explode direction.  Did this change?

RE: Exploded Views

Can you create a plane perpendicular to the direction needed, & use it for the explode direction?

In SW06, I beleive you can simply drag a part where required.
