Exporting Multiple Parasolids

Exporting Multiple Parasolids

Exporting Multiple Parasolids

(OP)
Are there any programs out that can export multiple parasolids similar the the iges, and other translators that are included in NX2?

RE: Exporting Multiple Parasolids

If you have more than one body that is either a solid or a component of an assembly in a UG file, you should be able to pick each body & translate them as a Parasolid.  I do it all the time.  When the software prompts you to pick what you are to export, pick all the bodies you want to translate.

If that is not what you're asking, please clarify what you're wanting.

RE: Exporting Multiple Parasolids

Whay do you mean "similar to the iges"?  I find that exported parasolids are much more user friendly than iges, and I have no problems exporting multiple parasolids at one time.

I should of clarified. In the Iges translator, I can choose files from a directory path. I was wondering if there was a parasolid translator that had a similar function. I would like to be able to export all the files from the assembly directory at the same time instead of opening each one.

Thanks.

RE: Exporting Multiple Parasolids

use the commandline prop. ug_inspect.exe from the ugii directory.

RE: Exporting Multiple Parasolids

add:
bulid a batch around like:
md %temp%\cln
call %UGII_BASE_DIR%\UGII\ug_inspect -extract_all %1
rem %temp%\cln\
pause

RE: Exporting Multiple Parasolids

DieMan,

It can be done with custom programming or as mentioned above, but what you are asking for is not available 'out of the box'.

Before doing anything, I would make SURE ug_inspect doesn't refile the root UG parts & mess up assemblies or anything that might be timestamp sensitive.
