Is it possible to apply a maximum displacement ?
Is it possible to apply a maximum displacement ?
(OP)
Hello everybody,
I am achieving a static mechanical analysis and would like to apply as boundary condition a maximum displacement in Z for some nodes. In Ansys, I find only the way to put a fixed displacement, and not a range (from 0 to 3 mm by instance).
Can someone help me ?
Thanks a lot,
Sev

Check out the following page as an intro to gap elements

I indeed thought about contact to solve this problem and used the contact wizard. But this process is quite complex and doesn't give me good results.
Can you tell me what elements I could use as gap elements in ANSYS ? Is there a specific chapter in the tutorial about this subject ?

I wanted to give you a star, but the link doesn't work.
I will try to run my simulation now with those information.
