OSHA Ergonomics Standard

OSHA Ergonomics Standard

OSHA Ergonomics Standard

(OP)
I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts on the ergonomics standards that OSHA is proposing:

http://www.osha-slc.gov/ergonomics-standard/index.html

How would they affect construction? or even design office operation? If the standard is approved, it seems every office will have to purchase ergonomically designed furniture, mouse pads, telephones, etc.

RE: OSHA Ergonomics Standard

Since this standard will be a performance standard employers will most likely have to utilize ergonomists / industrial hygienists to monitor worksites and ensure compliance. The compliance will most likely include training and ergonomically designed equipment.
