Autocad 2005 custom toolbars to 2006

Autocad 2005 custom toolbars to 2006

Autocad 2005 custom toolbars to 2006

(OP)
Hi
Ive recently upgraded autocad from 2005 to 2006. However I have my own customised toolbars running in 2005 but dont know how to import them into 2006. Ive tried pointing the support folder path to the original 2005 support folder burried in the Doc settings/ app data / ....etc  (ive still got 2005 on my pc also) but this still doesnt APPEAR to work. It would save a lot of time not having to recreate new customised t/bars for 2006 from scratch.
Any ideas how I can achieve this.

All help would be appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Autocad 2005 custom toolbars to 2006

I have 2006 and if I go to START...ALL PROGRAMS...AUTODESK...ACAD2006 I have the option for MIGRATE CUSTOM SETTINGS. This may have been an option when I installed 2006. Close autocad and try it. According to Autodesk it should be able to migrate those toolbars. I have not tried it myself.

You can also look in the help file under MIGRATION TOOLS.

Thanks for your help - I finally got them to migrate using the CUI interface - (Its a lot more akward to use than  older version's 'customise' tool). I do still have a problem though but I think it should be on a new thread.
(Look for 'CUI interface problems?'
