Finding equations "where used"
Finding equations "where used"
(OP)
Some here will use equations on a top level assembly, and others use equations on a sub assembly, for example:
Main Assembly (top level)
Sub-Assembly 1
Part 1
Part 2
Sub-Assembly 2
Part 1
Part 3
If I try to modify a dimension on a part, I get a pop-up that says "1954-02P Dimension Hole_Distance@Sketch3@1945-02P. Part is read-only."
I don't know where the part's equation is written without opening each sub-assembly or the top-level assembly, and looking at the equations. Either this is one of the short-falls of SW, or I am just doing it wrong. How do ya'll handle this?

I only have one place it is used so do not know what would happen if used twice.

RE: Finding equations "where used"
You are right about the distance returning. With an equation, I had to use the information to find the model and delete the equation in the assembly. Then I could change it and it would keep. We used to have a button edit in contents.
