Regulator Help

(OP)
Hi i wonder if anyone could help solving this problem. The setup was a 3" line header @ 8bar and 8 tee off. Each tee off is consist of 4" gate valve then 4" regulator (from 8bar to 0.5bar) and after 1.5m 4"ball valve and then the second 4"regulator(from 0.5 to 0.2bar). Each tee off flowrate is 320m3/hr.

During operation we are havign some problems with the first regulators damaging the diaphram and becoming unstable. Could anyone help me what is the problem? Thanks again

RE: Regulator Help

Can you be more precise what you mean by 'damaging the diaphram'?

What's the fluid?

RE: Regulator Help

These are large line sizes of you are describing self-contained pressure reglulators.  Regulators are also best selected for specific pressure and flow rate combinations.  There may be too much flow and too many variables for ideal regulator selection.  Consider a pressure control valve in instrument air, nitrogen or sweet process gas are avaiable.
