Dear Group

Does anyone have experience using the software FEKO for the simulation of magnetic field.

I want to simulate the magnetic field around a loop antenna with several inductors (other loops) close to the antenna. Im not sure if FEKO can do this (easily) or if other simulation tools can do it better.

If anyone has experience using FEKO or any other magnetic field simulation tools I would appreciate suggestions

regards
eirik

RE: simulation software

I wish I could give yo a straight answer from personal experience.  However, I was involved in a project with near field structure and radiating elements.  We compared FEKO predictions against measurements.  The reautls were better than expected and we found we could trust the FEKO results.  However, I think the FEKO was suplumneted with other techniques and there were issues with limits at angles.  But overall the project was a complete success.
