2006... too new for SpaceBall?

I have my SpaceBall 4000FLX & am trying to run with SolidWorks 2006. I loaded the latest drivers & get no response fom the SpaceBall. I'm guessing that 2006 is too new & there are no drivers for it yet... Any other ideas?

I am sure you have checked the hardware connections. I always like to recheck connections when my hardware does not work. That is even if I never touched them.

Spaceball 5000 USB, and SW 2006 SP1.0.
Mine is working as far aw moving/rotating parts and assemblies.  The customized buttons work with the "Mapping Panel", but if I use the "3DXWare Control Panel", my button customizing doesn't stick.  Just downloaded the latest drivers (dated 8/10/2005) and will see if that helps.
