Do any of you think there will be much of a future boom for engineers in the medical/health industries?
With the # of baby boomers becoming senior citizens, and the # of babies being born, some of the equipment and materials used to care for them can be improved. There are probably devices that need to be engineered to take care of problems that are just being recognized.

Biomed is a truly multi-disciplined field (it includes mechanical, electrical, signal processing, chemical, bio, materials, CS, etc.)
