SW and MS LiveMeeting

SW and MS LiveMeeting

SW and MS LiveMeeting

(OP)
We use LiveMeeting for web conferencing.  I have found that SW wreaks havoc with the LiveMeeting screen sharing.  Edrawings seems to work fine, but SW has all sorts of issues with screens not refreshing properly.

Anyone else have experience to share using LiveMeeting and SW?

RE: SW and MS LiveMeeting

Have you looked at WEbex or some other type of web conferencing tool. I know Webex works fine with SW.

I've used Webex, and it works great.  I'm locked into LiveMeeting due to company policy.

RE: SW and MS LiveMeeting

I have tried it a couple times. We work over the network thru servers which makes LM work veerrry slow and SW does not come in clear. It is more effeciant for me to get everyone in a room or 1 on 1. We have Webex, but only the IT dept is allowed to use it.

RE: SW and MS LiveMeeting

I have heard that the problem is caused by the method used to handle the OpenGL graphics data. Some programs just handle it better than others.

RE: SW and MS LiveMeeting

You should try software opengl, as solidworks uses overlays for the viewport. Most programs that capture / blend / etc the display output don't work well with overlays.

For instance I have to use software opengl when running 'glass2k' to make SW transparant to trace photographs of hard to measure shapes.
