Reference Pattern for table driven feature.

Reference Pattern for table driven feature.

Reference Pattern for table driven feature.

(OP)
I'm using 200i2 or 2001

I was wondering if it is possible to do a reference pattern for a round feature created on the edges of a cut that is patterned using a Pattern Table.
I created a round feature on the 4 vertical edges of a rectangular cut I patterned using pattern tabledriven . When I tried to pattern the feature it failed.

I was wondering if anyone has tried this in the past and been successful. I was able to get a surface to surface round to pattern as a reference pattern, but in order to use that as a work around I'd need to make an advanced round with 4 round sets.

I haven't used 2001 in a while so i don't remember the exact method, but if you create both the cut and the rounds before patterning you should be able to pattern them together in the same pattern feature.

Good Suggestion, but that eliminates the ability to suppress the rounds without the feature.

It seems to be a problem with the pattern being a table pattern cause I've never had this Ref Pattern problem with dim patterns. It may work on 2001 I made the part in i^2 so I'll try it on 2001 and see if I still run into the same error.

Hi Mjcole,

I am using 2001.
I created a rectangular cut.  I then patterned the cut, then added the simple rounds (one by one) to the first cut, click ref pattern and the rounds where on both, then you suppress the rounds both cuts stayed.  Did you create a table for both the cuts and the rounds?
