(OP)
I defined a model with 30 x 50 rectangle elements, type= CPE4P. These elements are not fully saturated. The saturation was described by using the command “sorption”. In one step the pore pressure in the nodes at the left side of the model arises with the use of the user-subroutine disp with the intention to calculate the pore pressure in the other elements (like in a dam). But the message-file says: SOLVER PROBLEM. NUMERICAL SINGULARITY WHEN PROCESSING NODE xxx D.O.F. 8 or
ZERO PIVOT...
The only boundary conditions for the D.O.F 8 are in the nodes of the left side of my model (with user-subroutine disp) and on the right side (=0). Do I have to define more conditions or do I have to consider anything else?
