NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

(OP)
If I make a model by Femap and use parabolic elements, NEi/Nastran gives me a warning 'T2004' and it is caused by quad8-elements. If I use the same model and make an analyze by MSC/Nastran -> No problem.

How this is possible?

RE: NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

Because they are completely different codes.  What exactly is the warning message for T2004?  I also suggest that you call Noran tech support; they are very helpful.

RE: NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

I have their V9 beta and the CQUAD8/CTRIA6 are supported there so I would suggest contacting noran support about the issue.  I know for sure parabolic solids are supported.

Sorry, the warning was caused by CQUAD8-elements, NOT QUAD8-elements.

In total, the warning is:
"Warning T2004: Unrecognized bulk data entry
CQUAD8  451 4 553 476 459 549 502 2954+EL CJ"

I will take contact to Noran. Thanks.

RE: NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

Are you trying to get strain data, and haven't converted the strain to stress?  Try running stress results, and that unrecognized bulk data entry may disappear.

RE: NEi/Nastran, warning 'T2004'

I don’t have to get strain data. Analysis type is ‘Static’ (not ‘Nonlinear’). I’m not sure I understood right your question…
