Hi,

I have imported a valve into 2001 from VAT as a .stp file.

It all went in well except 2 parts are in purple and on the drawing they always show hidden lines.

Any one know what I can do to fix it?

link to the part page is here if you wish to try,

RE: purple Step files hidden line prob.

Try the drawing setup file (DTL) option:

hlr_for_quilts    yes

that should get rid of them for you.

Sorry, I couldn't download the step file but I'm reasonably sure that this will solve your dillemma.

I'll look at that, I also discovered if I redefine the problem part and Attributes-make solid, that also works.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes- the problem was that the STEP was coming in as a surface quilt. This happens even when you have pro/e generated surfaces in your part.

Glad to hear your problem was resolved
