Cable selection
Cable selection
(OP)
I need to supply a three-phase transformer that has a peak/starting power of 7kVA. Voltage supply im my country is 230V. If my calculations are correct, the starting current on each phase is 8.2A and I selected a 5*2.5mmm2 cable with a 3*10A fuse. Will that be ok? Thanks!

RE: Cable selection
It is a 3 Ph transformer
that means =Sqrt(3)* V*I= 7000 VA
now I(Line)=17.59 A
and check the electrical code rules, if it is in a conduit or open , for this much current carrying capacity what cable size do u need and u need a fuse of a capacity of 25 % higher capacity.
got it.
Let me know if still problem exists.
