DOWNWARD SURFACES

DOWNWARD SURFACES

DOWNWARD SURFACES

(OP)
I would like tu downward compability from Catia R14 to R12 or lower. I have done it whith Catia/Utilities but the problem is that all the geometry ares surfaces and this utilitie only downward solid's.
I can't export with IGS or other way because all the geometry are linked with parameteres and a several design tables.

¿somebody could help me?

Greats on advanced

RE: DOWNWARD SURFACES

Sure - make solids!

If you have surfaces, use the "thick surface" (or is it thick offset) command.  Mark the surface to keep in a different color, downward it, tear it apart, and use what you want.

This is one of the easiest ways.

Oh, but your point about IGES - you might as well iges a surface, because downward compatibility does NOT give you any history, or functional links.

Good luck.

It could be a solution, but not in this case.

Thanks!!!

RE: DOWNWARD SURFACES

Unfortunately, you are stuck with making a surface with no history for anything downward.

Sorry.
