Mass-Link Combination

Mass-Link Combination

Mass-Link Combination

(OP)
I am working on a statical analysis of a framework consisting of LINK8 and MASS21 elements.

The MASS21 elements have no rotational dof's (keyopt(3)=2)
and are located at some ends of the LINK8 elements.

The framework is subject to acceleration load.

The results are very incredible: some link elements and mass elements rotate very fast about its own symmetry axis.

Without mass elements I get correct resuls.

How is that posible?? The Mass21 elements have no rotational dof's...

And how kann I avoid this problem?

Thanks!

Alex
