Windows 2000 and Windows XP

All,
We just received a new computer in our eng group with a new user starting on Monday. Question, is there go to be any conflict between computers using SW and the different OS systems? Our prim OS is Windows 2000 and the new CPU being XP.

Thanks,

Macduff

RE: Windows 2000 and Windows XP

I was running Win2000 at work and XP Home at home and freely transferring my SWX 2004 models back and forth and had no issues.

We've got a funky P2P LAN at my new job which links Win2K, XP Pro, XP Home, & 98SE machines together. It generally functions but we sometimes have visibility issues across the LAN.

RE: Windows 2000 and Windows XP

my homes systems is:

Pentium(4)2GHz
Ram 1.00 GB
SW2005 SP 5
Windows 2000 SP4.0
NIVIDA Quadro4 750 XGL

I do not have any problems bringing models from home to work.  My home system is really stable.  I went onto SWx website and they will not be supporting Win2000 after the 2006 release.

I have models built on W9X that will open on the current XP os without problem.
