Vibes, G's -vs- IPS

Vibes, G's -vs- IPS

(OP)
Doing some vibration work here.

I was taught that G's are for acceleration numbers and IPS were for velocity.

My analysis software (Chadwick) wants IPS. I'm being given flight TM data in G's.

I'm trying to use 1g=386"/sec, but I've got a feeling that I'm being given garbage data.

Which ones are you guys using and what conversion formulas?

The lab is not the aircraft...

RE: Vibes, G's -vs- IPS

You need to know the frequency of the vibration, then you can convert g to ipsps and then ipsps to ips.

There is no other way.

Cheers
