Autosave option in NX3
Autosave option in NX3
(OP)
Hi everybody. Is there any chance to use autosave option in NX3? I'm new and don't know too much. I have played with solidworks and visi and there you have such an option. I don't believe NX3 to not be capable to autosave the working file.
Please help a newbie.

Your UG session commands are captured in a .syslog file, which just happens to be in similar format to a UG macro file. I haven't done it in a long time, but you basically strip off so many characters (words actually) from the beginning of each line and now it resembles a macro line. Rename the file and then run your new UG macro. It does take some time and usually will get you upto the last completed operation before the crash.
UG's best line of defense against losing works is FFF.
File Fairly Frequently
Regarding Autosave, we never turned it on in pre-V10 because everytime you went back to the main UG menu, yes UG used to be menu driven like Pro/E still is, the autosave function would kick in afer the time setting. On large assemblies this was very annoying. If you just remember to hit the Save icon before adding or deleting a feature to the model, you won't lose any work. FFF

are using the Sketcher Task environment to test a couple of concepts,
and if they prove reliable, they may eventually move up to be more
generally available in the rest of the product, and Redo is one of these
items that is being "tested" for NX 4. So when you get NX 4, give it a
try and let us know if it works reliably and in a manner that you
expected it to.
