Stack lenght

(OP)
Hi,every body ,please help me.
My question is about rough estimation for Stack lenght of fire heater that is used for pre-heating of crudeoil.Heater rating is 5320 KW.
Thank you .

RE: Stack lenght

Natural draft?  Forced draft?  The more specifics you can provide the better we can give you an estimate.

RE: Stack lenght

Depending on local regulations, to combat air pollution, in most areas stack heights exceed 60 m. Anyway, to increase the "effective height", the velocity of the gases at the top should be 14-20 m/s.

Being this a relatively small heater (about 500 kg/h fuel)consider also combining stacks with the main heater.

RE: Stack lenght

In addition to the above, in case there are tall structures or building nearby, you may also have to consider Good Engineering Practice Stack Height. See for example http://www.lrc.state.ky.us/kar/401/050/042.htm or do a Google Search on "Good Engineering Practice Stack Height"
