MIRROR PROBLEMS

MIRROR PROBLEMS

MIRROR PROBLEMS

(OP)
Hi everyone, I am using SW2005.  I have a part made completely of tubing.  I am using weldments and I am trying to mirror one side of the part about a center plane.  It says "one or more features in this mirror feature are no longer in the model"  It doesn't matter how many features I choose to mirror, it always gives the same error.  I have tried all options within the menu, but I can't get it to work....HELP.
Thank You
Brandon

RE: MIRROR PROBLEMS

It's because you have in-contexted one body up to another. If one body is being trimmed or is being controlled by another body you will not beable to mirror it because the ID of hte mirrored Body is not the same as the Parent body you are mirroring... I hope that makes sense.

RE: MIRROR PROBLEMS

Absolutely,
When the party of the first part does not hereby and forthwith have the same ID as the party of the second part, the aforementioned first part must have been in-contexted by a party of the third part.
(Sorry, couldn't help it)

RE: MIRROR PROBLEMS

Brandon,

If you have made the part a weldment try mirroring bodies not features.
