Bom Quanitites for Different Part Configurations
Bom Quanitites for Different Part Configurations
(OP)
SWX 2005 SP4.0
I have a purchased part in my assembly that has two configurations within it. The only difference between the configurations is that a cable is routed differently, so I still order two of the same purchase part. The problem that I am having is that the BOM is listing the two configurations as two different items with (1) req'd of each. Is there anyway I can have it show as one BOM item (2) req'd?
Thanks

In SW04 the Part Config Grouping is about half way down,
However, it does not appear to work. I have never tried it before so may be doing something wrong. Can anyone else do this?

RE: Bom Quanitites for Different Part Configurations
All I had to do is go into my part file and change the BOM properties 'Part Number Displayed...' for each config to 'Document Name'.
Thanks for the help though
