Assigning Different Holidays to Different Resources

Assigning Different Holidays to Different Resources

Assigning Different Holidays to Different Resources

(OP)
I have a project where part of the work is done in the US and part of the work is done is India.  I do not plan on any work getting doen in the US the week of Thanksgiving or right before Christmas through New Years.  However the India resources will work through this period.  I would like to assign one holiday schedule to the US resources and a different holiday schedule to the India resources.

Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how to do it?

Thanks.

RE: Assigning Different Holidays to Different Resources

If you are using MS Project the process is pretty simple:

While in the Gantt Chart View, look under the Tools menu and select Change Working Time.  At the bottom of the window select the New button and you will create a new calendar using the Standard as the base.  Rename it as Standard India (or anything else you want) and modify the times and holidays as you did (or should have) in the original Standard calendar.

If you are using Primavera P3 or SureTrak I am sure it is a similar process.

Hope this helps...
