Staad.Pro 2001 wont run

Staad.Pro 2001 wont run

(OP)
Has anyone else had problems with Staad 2001 not running in the last couple months?  When I try to run a model I get a "Cannot Open Input File for STAAD Run" message and the program wont run.  We have three "dongles" in our office and most of our computers won't run the program most of the time.  Sometimes it still works, then it quits.  As an example one of our guys got a new laptop, Staad wont run on it, but his old laptop runs it fine.  My desktop runs it maybe 10% of the time I try.  I was told REI wont support the older version anymore.  Is else having similar problems, and have they found a fix?

Thanks.

I will add that we have tried rebooting the machine.  Also we have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Staad.  I cant figure this problem out!

RE: Staad.Pro 2001 wont run

I think it is an OS issue. Look at this link from their FAQ posting. http://www.reiworld.com/Search.asp?id=SP-1565

We were told that the older versions may not run on XP which I think is your OS on your newer computers. The drivers for the locks have changed.
