PVC Pipe flanges

PVC Pipe flanges

PVC Pipe flanges

(OP)
I have two butt ends of 6" SDR 17 PVC pipe where a fitting has been cut out.  I want to insert a wye here, and would prefer to connect it mechanically (as opposed to gluing it)to the existing pipe(s), as it will be underground, subject to pressure (about 70-80 psi), and will convey some toxic/corrosive substances. Is there a flange that I can attach to the butt ends of the pipe, thereby allowing me conect a flanged wye fitting to each butt end (now flanged)? Recognizing, of course, that I may need to place a short nipple on either end to close the gap from butt end to wye fitting. The only flanges I have found are either glued, or threaded onto the butt ends, and attached to a flanged fitting that way.  If this is acceptable under the aboe-desribed conditions, I will go that route. I was hoping there would be some sort of 'clamp on' fitting as is used on the ends of water mains (pipe gland), but haven't found anything for PVC like that.

RE: PVC Pipe flanges

Check out www.victaulic.com, they should have a "clamp-on" coupler that will work for you.
