Is there a way to link a note to the current and total sheet numbers in UG? To today's date? Or how about the file name? Can't seem to find any drawing properties I can link to.

RE: Link note to Drawing properties

If you go to ANNOTATION EDITOR under RELATIONSHIPS tab you will see PART ATTRIBUTES. This is how you link a note on the drawing to PART ATTRIBUTES. PART ATTRIBUTES can be defined in ANT under properties then  attributes.

Yeah, I see the attributes I can link to but I'm trying to find properties that would be system "attributes" for Sheet numbers, file name, and today's date. These would not be user created, but controlled by the system.

For instance, In Solidworks I can link a note in the titleblock to a properties in the drawing file call "Total Sheets & Current Sheet". Then my note reads Sheet "1 of 1". As I add sheets, the not changes to "Sheet 1 of 2", etc.

RE: Link note to Drawing properties

UG does not those sysetm attributes. The concept for those came into SW from Pro/E.

You can add pat attrbutes or what you want. If you have GRIP or UG/Open API, you can automate the creation and updating of them.

"Wildfires are dangerous, hard to control, and economically catastrophic."
"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

if you mouse right click in the ANT on Sheet "SH1" properties , drawing properties window comes up, may be this will help in what you are trying to do.
