Split bearing locknut

Split bearing locknut

(OP)
Need to adapt an bearing supported output shaft to an existing motor. Shaft OD is just barely under the bearing ID so there is no OD space for bearing nut threads above shaft OD.

Is there a standard split bearing nut that is commercially avaiable or do I need a special? I have done all the customary Google searches.

RE: Split bearing locknut

Depending on you loads you might want to look at a Split Clamp Collar that doesn't use threads.
We have also used a metric thread form to do something very similar.

RE: Split bearing locknut

Hydraulic nut or sleeve.
SKF has some info.
