AutoCAD Standard Parts

(OP)
Is there a way to add additional parts and sub-folders
to the AutoCAD/Mech. Desktop folders? We use a number of parts that are company specific. We would like to see if we could set up a libary for these so that lengths and any miters could be presented in the automated parts list.

I have found how to make components within a file but we want this externalized so that any project can utilize these parts without hunting for a base file.

Any help or links that could help would be appreciated.

Thanks
A

RE: AutoCAD Standard Parts

Doesn't Mechanical have the "Library" to place all of your own files into for easy insertion into the dwg?
