Voltage Stability Analysis (VSA) of Electrical Power Systems

Voltage Stability Analysis (VSA) of Electrical Power Systems

(OP)
Hi,

i'm supposed to do a project on voltage stability analysis (VSA). I did get some basic ideas of it from the literatures (books, internet etc), but because i'm very new to the topic, there are some details that confuses me.

1. Analysis techniques : can it really divided roughly into two types, static and dynamic ? Does the two techniques still being used today or are there any new techniques for the analysis.

2. Computer Intelligence : Is it already implemented as an analysing method ? What about other methods such as Artificial Neural Network ANN, Expertsystem, SOM etc, are they currently being used or still being researched ?

3. What is actually being used as the current method for detecting voltage instability ? Computer Intelligence ?

4. The difference between offline (static ? or dynamic?) and online (computer intelligence) analysis.

5. Last but not least : the best current solution to detect voltage instability in power system network.

I know, it's quite a lot that i'm asking here. But i hope someone out there can release me from my confusion. Thanks a million in advance !
