NX3 Drafting - Editing a view from 'Add View From Part'

NX3 Drafting - Editing a view from 'Add View From Part'

(OP)
I have added a view from 'Add View From Part' which is an assembly. I now want to edit this view.

The view requires a component in this view making invisible. I don't want to create another view just to hide this component.

All suggestions welcome please.

RE: NX3 Drafting - Editing a view from 'Add View From Part'

(OP)
Have just read the thread from cowski (29 Aug 05) in which he had the same problem in NX2.

Have tried the fix suggested by mjcole using the Assemblies/
Exploded Views/Hide menu which seems to work. Thanks mjcole.

Have a copy of the latest UGS CAD Transition NX2-NX3 book and there is no mention on editing views that I can find.

Has anyone else found ways to edit the view such as rotating?

RE: NX3 Drafting - Editing a view from 'Add View From Part'

I'm still on NX2, here is how you do it in that version. I assume NX3 has similar functionality (someone on NX3 please correct me if I'm wrong).

Right click the view you want to edit and select Style... A dialog box will pop up giving you editing options. For example, on the 'general' tab you can change the scale and angle (rotation) of the view.

cowski,
It is still the same in NX3.
