Anyone have any information regarding selection criteria that is involved in selecting a tank mixer, impellar, and motor HP specs.  Kind of lost in this department some feedback would be very helpful.  A spreadsheet would be even better.

I would suggest you start exploring the websites of different mixer manufacturers to get some of the basics and what is available.  There are several books on mixing available.  
Generally mixing problems are very specific solutions and if there is a legitimate demand most mixer companies have the computational tools to greatly simplify the design.
