3 Way control valve

3 Way control valve

3 Way control valve

(OP)
Can a three way control valve between supply & return headers also be used as a differential bypass?

Do you need custom controls or does someone make a valve like that?

Thanks.

RE: 3 Way control valve

Is this a Primary Only system or Primary + Secondary piping

2 way valve (instead of 3-way valve) may be used in the bypass pipe with a pressure sensor modulating this valve

This method is usable when the load control valves are of 2-way type and that the pumps are of constant speed type. Again, this will not save pump energy since pumps alwaysseems the same flow. Also there is no reduction in Head seen by pump since the head is used up in ovecoming balancing valve in bypass pipe.

Can give more info if you say the purpose of this by pass planned by you
