Is it possible to create a sheetmetal edge flange along a curved edge in SW 05.

Adding in the relief cuts during or after the flange creation?

No, what your doing is not typical formed sheetmetal, it's sheetmetal stamping which swx doesn't do. You'll have to create that using regular modeling features, sweep in this case.
