Pipe Fitting Classification

Pipe Fitting Classification

How can I classify a part as a pipe fitting so that it will not show up in my Parts List?

I have a many tube fittings that I would like to classify as pipe fittings so that they don't show up on my Parts List.

RE: Pipe Fitting Classification

One method - in the assembly file select the pipe fitting and right click. Then under Occurrence Properties uncheck the box "Include in Bill of Materials and Parts List".

Beachcomber - thanks for the suggestion, but there should be a way to classify the tube fittings as pipe fittings that way I can turn on the switch so that I can have a count and then turn off the switch since I don't want to so them on my drawing.

I could have up to a hundred fittings in an assembly and turning them on and off one at a time is...well not really doable.

You'll need to insert the parts in Piping Route. There's a catch though, the parts have to be Standard Parts.

Please read Standard Parts in Solid Edge and Part Editor Dialog Box in SE help for creating Standard Parts.
