CONVERTING SOLID WORKS TO SOLID EDGE

CONVERTING SOLID WORKS TO SOLID EDGE

CONVERTING SOLID WORKS TO SOLID EDGE

(OP)
Is there any way to convert files between Solid Works and Solid edge?  Not just having a solid view of the part, but being able to change geometry etc.?
So far it seems that although both programs use the same  kernel, there is no a straight forward method, if possible at all.

RE: CONVERTING SOLID WORKS TO SOLID EDGE

No you will have to Parasolid them out. In SW you can use Feature works to get back to a Feature tree that you can edit.

There are very few if any at all CAD systems that are full compatiable with each other.
