How to Rotate an Assembly in 3D?

How to Rotate an Assembly in 3D?

(OP)
I want to rotate a complete assembly in 3d with mating relationships already defined. Such as rotate all the components in the assembly around XC axis with an angle of 90 degrees at the same time preserving the mating relationships thus maintaining positions of the components with respect to each other.

I have selected the entire assembly then selected reposition. Under transform tab, selected rotate about a line. Selected the inferred point and the turn axis. But UG did not allow me to rotate the assembly. In the turn angle dialog box I always get the message 'select point'. Kinda goes back to the first step...
