Gas filtering

(OP)
I am trying to track down a long-chain hydrocarbon contamination problem in a gas stream (it is contaminating one of my mole sieve beds).  What devices/technologies are out there that could be used to sample a dry gas stream to collect and measure contaminants (oils).  We have used millipore tests in the past but due to the low contaminant levels a quantitative analysis could not be conducted.

Thx.

RE: Gas filtering

Just one question:

Does yout distribution network include underground storages? I know that in Denmark (where i come from) there has been reported problems with a substance injected in the UGS (a kind of polymer) then later found in the gas pipes as a residue.

Best regards

Morten
