SW 06 and macros

SW 06 and macros

SW 06 and macros

(OP)
Is any one having problems with using old macros with SW 06?  We have a macro that saves a drawing as a DXF 1:1 When you run the macro SW opens a save as dialog box wants to save the part and then saves the drawing as a DXF after you save the part. The macro has the corect references. Any sugestions?

thanks in advance.

RE: SW 06 and macros

Grant,
When I have problems like yours, what I would do in re-record the macro. Of course if it is an easy one.

Some of our macros are producing error messages in 2006.

RE: SW 06 and macros

HAve you checked to make sure the API code hasn't changed in SW06. That would seem to me like the likely culprit.

RE: SW 06 and macros

I don't know about 2006, but I had a macro for 2005 that my var made some additions to and when I got it back it would error out.  The fix was to start a new macro and simply copy and paste the code in its entirety into the new macro and save it to a new name.  It then worked fine....

Also, is that a macro that you can share?

I did not write the macro so I don't think I can share it but if I can give some sort of guide line I would be more than willing to do so. I'll look into it.

I think it's something with the API as Scott stated.  Still investigating that.

Re-recording won't work (I think) because it's some what complex as far as to where it saves it.
